I am pleased to share that the beginning of this academic year is off to a wonderful start for our parish and campus ministry. Many students have already connected with our ministry, and it is heartening to see so many eager to engage in their faith and the life of the Church.
As the American bishops remind us in their 1985 document Empowered by the Spirit, campus ministry is essential in forming young people “as disciples of Jesus Christ and as leaders in the Church.” With your support, we are offering students a wide range of opportunities for growth—whether through Bible studies, discipleship formation, outdoor activities, social justice initiatives, or care for creation. Our campus ministry team, consisting of nine dedicated missionaries/ministers, is working hard to serve our students and accompany them on their spiritual journeys. I am especially grateful to the many parishioners who have been agents of welcome and nurture, helping our students feel at home and supported.
Thank you for your continued prayers and dedication. I look forward to seeing the many ways our parish will continue to flourish in the coming months.
