It was great to have Patrick back at Newman to speak to our students! While at UK, The Catholic Newman Center was an important part of his life. He is currently serving at The Ohio State University as a FOCUS Missionary. Here is a bit of Patrick’s story:
“On a college campus, there might not be a place that needs Jesus Christ and his Church more than a locker room. I truly believe that I have the greatest job in the world. As a Varsity Catholic Missionary, my greatest desire is to first be a Saint, and then help men becomes Saints, by facilitating an encounter between them and the person of Jesus Christ. Christ has radically changed my life and I want nothing more than to share the good news of the Gospel with others. In His ministry on Earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus’ own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I’ve been constantly amazed by the different souls I’ve encountered on campus.”
