As we gather to worship each week, it’s a powerful reminder of the vibrant community we are blessed to be a part of. Our liturgies are a reflection of our shared faith, and the meaningful connections we foster as a parish family. However, these beautiful expressions of our faith are made possible through the dedicated service of so many volunteers.
This weekend, we have a special opportunity to ensure that our parish continues to thrive in its mission to serve Christ and one another. We are holding our annual sign-up for liturgical ministries and other volunteer opportunities, and I want to personally encourage each of you to consider how you might contribute your time and talents to our parish.
The work we do together—whether as lectors, Eucharistic ministers, servers, choir members, ushers, or volunteers in various ministries—strengthens not only our worship but also our sense of community. Each role, no matter how small it may seem, plays a vital part in the life of our parish. Your involvement allows us to grow in our faith, to reach out to those in need, and to create a welcoming space for all who walk through our doors.
As St. Paul reminds us in his letter to the Corinthians, “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.” (1 Corinthians 12:4-5). Each of us has been given unique gifts, and it is in sharing these gifts that we truly become the Body of Christ.
I ask you to prayerfully consider how you might contribute this year. Whether you’re continuing in a role you’ve served in before or stepping into a new one, your participation is invaluable.
Please take a moment this weekend to visit our sign-up tables after Mass, or consider filling out the form online. Together, let’s ensure that our parish continues to be a place where the love of Christ is evident in all that we do.
Thank you for your continued generosity and dedication to our parish community. I look forward to seeing the many ways in which we will serve and grow together in the coming year.
