To Walk By The Spirit
Speaker – Patrick Reis
Pillar – Mission
Patrick is the Director of Encounter Ministries and host of the EWTN globally syndicated Encounter Radio. He has a passion and drive to see Catholics empowered to walk in the power and love of the Holy Spirit, carries a strong heart for seeing Christian unity manifest and speaks at conferences internationally. He was recently featured in “Fearless” a documentary on the Holy Spirit and Evangelization. He attended Franciscan University of Steubenville (2006) and Holy Apostles College & Seminary (2014). He has worked at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Cincinnati and St. Patrick Catholic Church in Columbus.
Without the power of Holy Spirit activated in our lives, we can’t possibly live out the Great Commission to go make disciples of all nations. Patrick will help us understand and integrate the Holy Spirit into our daily lives. How do we walk each and every day flowing in the charisms, anointing, and freedom the Holy Spirit provides? Why is this important for our ability to bring the healing, liberating, and life-giving Gospel to others? St. Paul VI called the Holy Spirit the “principal agent of evangelization.” but is He the driving force of our missionary activity?
The purpose of the monthly i.d.9:16 Disciples’ Night is to help deepen personal conversion, foster communion, and grow in an understanding of what it means to be a Catholic disciple in the world today. The meeting consists of Mass, dinner, and a compelling talk centered on one of the four pillars of discipleship.
